Sam and Sagar win the 2013 Canadian Foundation for the Development of Microscopy Award

Samantha Stambula, and Sagar Prabhudev, both PhD students in the group of Prof. Botton, won the Canadian Foundation for the Development of Microscopy Award for their papers submitted to the Microscopical Society of Canada (MSC) annual meeting held in Victoria  (BC) in June 2013.


Samantha studies the structure and properties of nitrogen doped graphene used in fuel cells and was awarded the prize of 1000$ for her paper titled: " Sub-Angstrom Characterization of N-doped Graphene with Pt atoms and clusters for the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell.


Sagar studies the atomic structure of alloy nanoparticles used in fuel cells and also won a 1000$ prize for his paper "Quantitative Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy of Catalyst Nanoparticles".
